Alpha Arbutin: Inhibition of Tyrosinase and Inflammation

Alpha Arbutin, the beta-D-glucopyranoside derivative of Hydroquinone, is a naturally occurring plant product .

The glycosidic bond is hydrolyzed by micro flora in the skin resulting in a controlled release of Hydroquinone. 

Alpha Arbutin effectively lightens and reduces UV (inflammatory) induced pigmentation and free radicals, without increasing sun sensitivity. 

Fade discolouration caused by inflammation and environmental stressors while evening skin tone.

Address glycation, sugar-induced skin sallowness and loss of elasticity 

Arbutin acts by the inhibition of Tyrosinase, thereby decreasing melanin formation.

Glutathione: 3D inhibition of pigmentation

Glutathione reduce Tyrosinase activity in three different ways.

Tyrosinase is directly inhibited through chelation of the copper site by the Thiol group.
